Watercolor Christmas Gift Tags

I ask…is it too early to think about Christmas?

The last two nights I have let the creative girl inside me win and stay up late and paint. Like, past midnight-late. Really, I am a night owl but I have a day job, and kids, and commitments that prevent me from staying up late and sleeping in the next morning. But, every once in a while…I give in.

I just started experimenting with making these wreaths; and although they are not perfect I thought they would work nicely as Christmas gift tags. I will just add “To” and “From” on the back of the tag. Viola! A unique gift tags that is one of a kind.

I even got up early on Sunday and attended the early church service, which we usually don’t do. The sermon was about seeing and showing the glory of God, everyday, everywhere. And, not to brag, but I think He meant that sermon just for me. 😉

Everything I do through my art should continuously bring glory to Him. After all, the great Creator gave me this gift of creating, so I should honor Him and share that glory with others. We are all broken humans living in a broken world but the glory is we are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ; by the grace of God. Why wouldn’t I want to share that with you? It’s my responsibility and privilege to do so.

And even though tomorrow is Halloween, I want to share this good news with you:

“[10] But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid! For behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: [11] Today in the City of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord!” — Luke 2:10-11
